Like a candle in the wind...

You guessed it, the paint. Thrift store candle sticks, $ store ribbon and candles.  I had the little candle with miniature pumpkins and the candy corn.

I had the candleholders for years and knew eventually I'd find the right set of candles to go with them.  $ sore candles and srapbooking embellishments attached with hot glue.  Wala...Witchy Poo's Shoes.

Halloween Night

Their creepy and their kooky, mysterious and spooky...oops...wrong one...This was a collaboration of Me and the Girls.  We certainly had fun!!!  The candlesticks in the back right corner, PB dupe, yep, spray painted thrift store candle sticks added black glitter candles as a half mask lies silently among them.  Two books we already had, Witch Season and Lehigh Valley ghost stories.  Oldest daughter's idea to add the POTION letters to the cauldron and fill it with orange lights.  With all lights out, the POTION pots gives off a spooky glow kind of hazy because of the cobwebs.  Added another spray painted black branch and a friendly little crow/raven clinging on for dear life.  The black roses ($ store roses we spray painted because Halloween stores want $5 or more) lie lifelessly waiting for the true love of the pianist who was playing Halloween night.  Spiders, a witches hat, a ghost, half mask and more cobwebs looks inviting for a ghost of the night to serenade his true love...  :)

Candy Corn and tea lights

Who would ever think Candy corn and tea lights would make a great pair?  My 17 yr old and I did.  I had the "Fancy glasses" but the remaining items were from my friendly, in town, $ store, 2 bags of candy corn, 2 different types of ribbon, plastic spider rings, battery operated tea lights and a frame.  First we tied a bow around each stem of the glass, filled the glass half full with candy corn, sliced the ring to wrap around the stem, lie the tea light on top of the candy corn and there you go...decorate your table with remaining candy corn.  I used my favorite can of Black spray paint and beautified the $ store frame, printed the adorable vintage Halloween card from The Graphics Fairy, which she so graciously provides free of charge.  If you have little ones or a husband you may have to replenish the candy corn frequently.  :)

Dear Mr Poe

This was a new idea for Halloween.  I had the birdcage from a thrift store find and the creativity kept flowing... Love my spray paint and the winner for this project was the can of Black...I painted an old ruler, a bunch of branches and the picture frame.  The ruler worked so well for the perch of the crow/raven from the $ store.  The braches from the yard were painted black as well and used behind the birdcage for a bit of "spookiness" according to my 9 yr old.  :)  Quoting "The Raven" in the $ store frame spray painted black with another $ store crow/raven on top.  Finishing it off with broken branches outside of the cage and in front of the frame. I believe Mr. Poe, you would have been proud!! :)
